Catholic Material Culture Collections

Most archives contain material culture alongside paper and book collections. In Catholic related archives this primarily takes the form of church vestments, liturgical plate, relics, artwork, domestic items and personal items. The following institutions specifically work with Catholic material culture items and may be able to answer questions or facilitate research. Some also act as repositories of Catholic heritage items and may be able to assist with re-homing.
