The archive contains collections relating to the formation, development, and recent activities of the Society of the Sacred Heart in Ireland and Scotland, and international activities carried out by Irish and Scottish RSCJ. These include but are not limited to:
– Papers relating to the administration and governance of the Province, including Chapter documents and financial records
– Personal collections of individual RSCJ.
– Property records
– Collections from communities of RSCJ in the Province
– Collections for every Sacred Heart School that has existed in the Province
– Photographic collections
The collection includes born digital records, manuscripts, bound volumes, photographs amongst others.
– Access is by appointment with the Provincial Archivist. A closure period is in place. No material may be reproduced without the written permission of the Provincial Archivist. Copyright restrictions apply. The archives are accessible to researchers with disabilities.
