Data Protection Basics: an afternoon course for the Catholic Archives Society April, 2025

CAS had the pleasure of hosting 21 participants hybrid online and in person at Hinsley Hall. The training was well received and it was great to re-start the Society training days which have not happened since Covid. More training days will be announced in due course.

Course Overview

This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively navigate data protection in real world situations. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the UK’s key data protection laws including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018

This course has been designed for members of the Catholic Archives Society seeking a better understanding of UK data protection laws and who may be handling personal data. Course participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to navigate data protection in real-world scenarios.
