Training Day 1993

The first training day for a few years took place at Friends’ Meeting House in London and was attended by 21 ‘trainees’ and five Council members.  Peter Hughes spoke and stressed the importance of a systematic approach and systematic recording of all the steps taken in sorting and listing.  He supplemented this with examples both of preliminary listing and more detailed cataloguing.  Storage, repair and access for researchers were also touched on briefly and there was ample opportunity for questions and discussion.
